Granite
Granite is a natural stone mined from the earth. It is found in a variety of colors and natural patterns--each slab is unique. Marble
Marble is also a natural mined stone and is found in a variety of colors and patterns. Marble  is softer than granite and will more easily scratch. Acidic substances will also cause etching. Because of these factors, marble is not a good choice for kitchen countertops. It is more suitable for bathroom vanity tops, bathroom floors, shower stall surrounds as well as fireplace surrounds.


Care for Natuaral Stones:
Never use acidic substances on marble including alcohol, vinegar or window cleaning products such as Windex or 409. It is best not to use these types of products on granite as well. For best results in cleaning and maintaining granite and marble, use a damp sponge and/or products specifically designed for natural stones.
